boring, boring

I did the exact same look (eyes) a couple weeks back. Boring, I know.

face-
Maybelline concealer
translucent powder
Gingerly

eyes-
NYX Milk
Brule
Soft Brown
Woodwinked
Club
Vanilla pigment
Solar White
W&W cream liner
L'oreal mascara
Ardell 105s

lips-
Love Nectar l/g

Ah, I forgot how much I love white nails. They're so odd!

Orly French Tip White

And here's a matte Fortune Teller.

Sorry it's so messy!

I need to stop using glitter polishes. Every time I take them off I want to kill myself... even with felt and 100% acetone! Sigh...

when the hell..

..did I get 137 followers?! Wow, but thanks a bunch to everyone who follows me!! :)

The infamous Ruby Pumps:

It's a really crappy picture, sorry for that :( When I use it again, I'll get a better one... anyways, I LOVE this color. And you're hearing this from someone who's hands get as red as a lobster at times. Ruby Pumps didn't make them look more red than usual. The shimmer is absolutely gorgeous, and when the light hits it... -thud-. Beautiful, beautiful color. I love it on my toes, too! :)

Today's mani is OPI DS Coronation.

Not as holographic as the CG holo polishes or some other DS ones, but it's still nice. This is 3 coats, it was pretty sheer.

I've been using 'cult favorite' strengthening polishes lately, and I got such an awesome deal on them.

The mini Nail Envys were $1.99 each (they were on sale- regular price was $4.99, for just 1/4oz.!). I found NailTek at Marshall's for $3.00. It was a godsend.
My nails seems a lot stronger! I've been using both alternatively. I'll have to keep using them to see what one I prefer. :)

Have a great evening, everyone :)

OPI Merry Midnight

It'd look a lot nicer on longer nails.

(They're HUGE, so if you want the full effect, click away)
It's such a nice color! Especially in the sun...

It's a great formula. Nice and thin. This was either 2 or 3 coats... I can't remember, I took these 2 weeks ago haha. Excuse the wearage as well, I was wearing it for 3 days at that point.
Anyways!
Later today I'll stop being lazy and upload pictures from my camera. I have a mani with the gorgeous Ruby Pumps to post. :)

sigh, nails

I miss my long nails :(

Back in July. Orly Country Club Khaki.

Sighhhhhhhhhhh.
This is how damaged they were when they were at that length:

Although they may be shorter, they sure look a whole damn lot better now. But I think I'll let them grow out to that length, just because I like long nails :)

Anyways, I have a couple of FOTDs and one Konadicure to post. Have a great Friday, everyone!

requested tutorial

Hope you guys enjoy it, and I also hope it was helful. :)

I used...
Face-
Maybelline concealer
translucent powder
Benefit Dandelion

Eyes-
NYX Milk
Vanilla pigment
Plum Dressing
Poison Pen
Coppering
Solar White
W&W liner
L'oreal mascara
Red Cherry lashes

Lips-
Angel l/s
C-thru

1. Prime with whatever. I use a NYX Jumbo Pencil.

2. Pack Plum Dressing in the crease.. obviously, the shape/neatness doesn't matter :)

3. Blend it out

4. Apply Poison Pen in the outer corner

5. Blend that out

**I find tapered blending brushes, such as the 226, work the best for blending out colors when you want them to be more vibrant**

6. Apply Vanilla pigment on lid and as a highlight.

7. Apply Coppering with a tapered blending brush just above Plum Dressing, working into the highlight, and beside Poison Pen, blending it into the lid.

8. On the lower lashline, I apply Plum Dressing and Poison Pen. In the inner corner, I apply Solar White. It's my favorite e/s for the inner corner, it brightens my eyes up so much!

9. Liner...

10. Mascara...

11. Face makeup...

12. Falsies. A look is not complete without these! :)

I apply Angel and C-Thru, and then I pose :)

Thanks for looking! Have a great evening!

Kreativ Blogger award

Thanks Cheryl! :)

To accept the award do the following:
1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate 7 Kreative Bloggers.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they have been nominated.

Since I did something similar so recently, this will be tough :(

1. I love doing crafty things! Ever since Christian left, I've had a lot of time to do them. Right now I'm really into knitting.

2. I always go to sleep early, and wake up early. Even if I'm out later than usual and go to sleep later, my body naturally wakes itself up at 6 or 7. This really sucks when I don't have anything to do that day. And to make matters worse, it's nearly impossible for me to fall asleep during the day.

3. My favorite singer as of right now is Marvin Gaye. He's so amazing.. he blows my mind!

4. I used to have my ear lobes stretched, but miraculously they shrunk back to normal size so I can now wear regular earrings. Thank God!

5. Every single time I wish at 11:11, my wish comes true. Christian thinks I'm crazy, but it works..

6. I hate when people are late. That's my biggest pet peeve.

7. I have two cats whom I love to death!

A sleepy Rosie is in the front, while a sleepy Romeo is in the back. They're brother and sister, yet you could never tell except for the shape of their eyes. They're about 1 and a half years old now.

A lot of people have done this tag already, and I'm lazy, so whoever wants to do this.. go ahead. :)
Have a great weekend & Halloween everyone!!

finally!

Here's the FOTD I've been meaning to post. I wore this for my friend's 24th birthday party. I think this is one of my favorite neutral looks. It probably would have been cuter if my hair was down and curled, but I ran out of time. :(

Face-
same as always

Eyes-
NYX Milk
Brule
Woodwinked
Club (this looks so amazing over Woodwinked!)
Vanilla pigment
Solar White
W&W cream liner
L'oreal Telescopic mascara
Red Cherry lashes

Lips-
Rimmel l/l in Natural
Patisserie l/s
Love Nectar l/g

Oh, and I finally got my bf's damn address! The bundle of letters that I've written over the past couple of days are on their way to him at the moment... I can't wait to hear from him.
Anyways, thanks for looking! Have a great day :)

recent buys

Happy Wednesday, everyone! The week is half way over. :)

Here's some nail related things I bought over the past week or so. No time with boyfriend = too much time for spending! Oh well... it makes me happy. :)

OPI Ginger Bells, CND Stickey base coat, OPI Shim-merry Chic, CG Ruby Pumps, OPI DS Coronation, Sally Hansen Petal Pusher, Orly np thinner, and the thing in front is a crystal nail file.

Ginger Bells- I posted a mani with this yesterday. It's a pretty awesome color. The formula is perfect, you could get away with one coat.

CND Stickey- is it just me or is this not sticky at all? And they spelled it funny... anyways, it does a decent job.

Shim-merry Chic- I haven't tried it yet... I just did a quick swatch on one of my nails. Seems to be a great formula. And I LOVE the flakes!!!

Ruby Pumps- I haven't had a red np in ages, because my hands tend to have a red tint most of the time... so I wonder how this will look on me. It'll be so hot on long nails. I want mine to grow out already so I can wear this!

DS Coronation- kinda blah in normal lighting. But when the sun hits it.. ooooooooooooo... The formula is a bit too thin. Very sheer. Needs 3 coats to reach perfect opacity. In subtle sunlight:

(click to see it in all its glory!)

Petal Pusher- I really wanted this after seeing a few bloggers use this for french bases or just on it's own. It's alright. Needs 2 coats, and no, it does not dry instantly. :) I prefer more beige tinted nudes, as this is more pink.

Thinner- haven't tried it yet, but I can't wait to attack my CG For Audrey with this... FA is disgusting to use. And when I open my new bottle of Seche Vite, I will use this thinner RELIGIOUSLY.

Crystal nail file- I previously had the Revlon one from Target and it really, really sucked. This one is amazing in comparision. With my Sally's card, it was around 6 dollars. The Revlon one was about 7... total waste of money. But this one seems like it'll do a great job!

Anyways, I'll post a FOTD when I get the chance. I'll also try to do a tutorial on the look I posted a couple days back! :)
